Jared Leigh
Avid Horseman
With over a decade of riding experience and a background as a classroom teacher, I bring both horsemanship and thoughtful instruction into every session. I began my riding journey as a working student in Aurora, Colorado, gaining hands on experience with every horse I could. From off track thoroughbreds to mustangs from the bureau of land management, and a wide range of other sport horse breeds— working with such a diverse repertoire of horses taught me how to adapt, listen, and ride each horse as an individual.
My training philosophy is rooted in a ground-up approach that emphasizes strong foundational horsemanship, clear communication, and trust. My methods of communicating between horse and rider are derived from the way horses would communicate with each other in the herd environment.
Much like teaching in the classroom, I believe real learning happens when concepts are broken down, expectations are clear, and progress is allowed to happen at an individual pace. I focus on helping horses and riders build both confidence, understanding between one another.
